So the day after I post the video about the Aglaonema, I’m in a big box store shopping for s-hooks. I’m working on another set of grow shelves, and they’re for the hanging pots I got. And if you’re like me, you can’t leave without checking that corner of the store where the plants hang out. ‘Cause you never know.
But I do know now. They’d gotten a shipment which contained a bunch of Ags; different varieties, different colors. In the middle of that amalgamation of aglaonema was this Aglaonema ‘White Calcite’, and my brain said “That one”, and who am I to argue. I hadn’t been in a big box store for months, so I didn’t have a feel for what was on the shelves; which was probably a good thing. So I headed to check out with my new Ag, oh and those s-hooks which was the reason I was there.
He’s going to get repotted very soon. Though I use coco coir in my planting mix, I’m not a big fan of it as a growing medium by itself. I also need to find a better non-porous pot, since that’s what they seem to like. But those are minor details.
I could stay away from those big box stores and the siren call of the plant corner. I could develop some plant discipline. I could sprout wings and fly. Anything is possible.
