Something of a mini haul this time. The number of hoyas on my wish list is getting smaller, and I find I’m looking less for hoyas in general and more for particular hoyas. There are two of those in this haul.
Hoya collina IR-26 has been on the list for a while. I got a tiny cutting as a thank you from a seller, and while it’s still alive, that’s about all I can say for it. I wanted a real plant that did things like grow and put out leaves, so I found another one, and it’s doing both of those things.
Regular watchers might note that this is the second appearance of Hoya NS12-323. The first one I found was a very small cutting, and though it arrived in good shape, that was only temporary. It, too, is still alive, but it’s in intensive care and the outlook is bleak. Again, I really wanted one, so this time instead of lightly rooted, I went for really rooted.
And last is Hoya ‘Sunrise’, which was never on my list, but I found a sturdy one during a visit to Logee’s and decided to see what all the fuss is about. I’m not one for sun-stressing my plants, I figure living with me is stress enough, but we’ll see what happens.
I’ll keep you posted.
