Here’s an update about a few more plants from past Hoya Hauls. This time, they’re from the November haul. Almost two months have passed, and it seemed like a good time to see what’s happened.
Hoya acicularis seems to have settled in. I’ve got a new vine and several new leaves. These super thin leafed hoyas are probably hardier than they look, but that doesn’t mean I don’t worry about them drying out too much; so far, no problems.
Hoya sp Indonesia started out as an unrooted cutting. It looked good upon arrival, so I popped it into pon-ish. Then it started to look dehydrated. We carried on and suddenly the leaves started to look healthy again. He had rooted. He got moved into a larger pot and pushed out a new vine.
Hoya spectatissima came with one small vine that did have a peduncle. But once settled in here, he sent out a new, longer vine with lots of fuzzy leaves and there are more vines starting. Based on the way things have gone so far, I am very excited about this one.
Hoya sp Lau Chau (long leaf) arrived with three leaves, but since his arrival he’s added six more leaves, and the vine just keeps on going.
So, it’s fun times in the plant room. There is a new January haul in the works, plus a couple more updates with some surprising developments.
I’ll keep you posted.
