This is not my first Hoya mirabilis, though I am happy to say that the first is still alive. I’m not sure what’s going on with it; it does not thrive, neither does it die. It has been treated for everything, multiple times, moved to pon, given good fertilizer. It’s a puzzlement.
This one, Hoya mirabilis ‘Clone B’ is doing rather well. It arrived with a peduncle, which, though it has not yet bloomed, it has kept. It’s also putting out new leaves and vines, and the leaves are very splashy. The growth structure of this hoya makes me think of a cascade bonsai, which is probably why I liked it in the first place.
It seems a bit of a slow grower, though anything grows faster than the other mirabilis, but it may have just taken a while to settle it. It does have new growth in a couple of places, so I really can’t complain. I just like the look of this hoya and want more of it.
Now if I can just figure out what’s up with number one. I started the sulfur again. Next step is to take a look at the roots. He’s not going to be happy.
I’ll keep you posted.
