This one was on my wish list for a while. Long, narrow leaves with some splashing, I added it to the list the first time I saw it. Hoya griffithii just never seemed to be available.
I found an online seller who had carried it, but as is so often the case, it was out of stock. Since it was still listed, they clearly expected it again, so I got on their waiting list. And waited. When I got the e-mail, I hesitated only briefly. I had just ordered some other hoyas and wasn’t really planning on one more right then.
Of course, I gave in. He arrived safe and sound. As is typical at my house, he took a few weeks to settle in. Once he adapted to the program a new vine appeared, and then the splashy leaves. And those leaves are just as nice as I had hoped.
Sometimes it’s good to have a plant on your wish list for a while. Though the hunt and the waiting can frustrate you, it does make you appreciate it when it finally arrives.
I’ll keep you posted.
