Dischidia acutifolia

It seems that I find hoyas in batches. A month or two can pass and I don’t find anything on my wish list, at least at a price I’m willing to pay, and then suddenly they’re all available. That’s what October was like. Some of these had been on my wish list for almost a year, and a couple of them for only a week.

The IM-08 cutting is rooting well and can move to a real self-watering pot soon. ‘Frida’ is putting out new leaves. The acutifolia leaves are firming up, and there is new growth on the NS12-323.

The Rangsan, long time wish list resident, doesn’t seem to be the best traveler and the medium was soaked. But the price was right, there were lots of cuttings, and I can fix that; he moved to pon-ish right away.

So, it’s been a busy month in the plant room. But winter is coming and shipping to New England can be dicey, so there may not be another big haul for a while. That’s OK, I’ve got enough to do.

I’ll keep you posted.
