The guys have been busy lately pushing out new leaves; and there’s almost nothing better than finding new leaves on your hoyas. OK, blooms might be better, but new leaves usually come first, so I’m taking this as step one.
When I was doing my weekly check-up with the guys, I was struck by just how many of them had new leaves. It’s warm, they’re getting good light, regular feeding and watering, I shouldn’t be surprised, but I always am.
New hoya leaves are cool. Sometimes they’re miniature versions, sometimes they look nothing like the big leaves they’ll become. Sometimes they arrive in pairs, sometimes it’s one then the other, sometimes it’s one then take a break and grow a leaf somewhere else and then come back to the second. Each one’s an adventure.
Time to head back to the plant room and take a good look around to see who else is getting leafy.
I’ll keep you posted.
