I don’t know where or how I first learned about Plants Wake You Up, but I’m glad I did.
I’ve been working on expanding my Hoya collection, and cuttings seem to be the most cost-effective way of doing it. But I haven’t always had the best of luck ordering cuttings, and I’ve had some disappointing experiences. So when I checked out the Plants Wake You Up website, I had some skepticism.
The PWYU website is very straightforward, the selection very large, and the prices very reasonable. It almost seemed a bit too good; and a test order was definitely needed.
When I do test orders I always order under my name and not the website; I want an “accurate” ordering experience.
I ordered on a Saturday, it was shipped via USPS Priority Mail on Monday, and arrived on Wednesday. I was impressed, especially since they’re on the west coast and I’m on the east coast. Then I opened the package.
What was inside was exceptional. Everything was very carefully wrapped. The cuttings were exactly as I had seen on the website and were in ideal condition. Plant labels were included, along with some treats, and a free cutting. Wow. I started working on my second order.
Everything about the second order was just as impressive, as was everything about my third order. And I anticipate that the order I placed this weekend will be just as impressive as the others.
Plants Wake You Up sells primarily unrooted cuttings, though some will have a few roots when they arrive. The shipping charges are quite reasonable, especially when compared to what other sellers charge, and USPS Priority seems to be the standard shipping method. The owner has been great to deal with; e-mails are answered promptly, and they seem very intent on making and keeping their customers happy. They can count me as one of those happy customers.
Plants Wake You Up gets the highest recommendation.
