I decided to take a plant outing recently. During the week is a good time to go, it’s not so crowded. I’d put in some hours to get the website up and running, and there are a couple of other projects in development. It was a bit of a reward for hard work.
Peckham’s in Little Compton, Rhode Island is a really nice greenhouse and I usually find something interesting. So after looking through the Hoya for something I didn’t have, and looking for Scindapsus which they didn’t have, I saw this guy. Oh yeah, coming home.
I used to dislike Syngonium. All I had seen were the ‘Allusions’, and they don’t work for me. But when I saw a ‘White Butterfly’ I thought OK, now that one I like. I bought a small one, and my opinion has changed about some Syngonium. This new one was also labeled Syngonium podophyllum ‘White Butterfly’, but it looks different than my small one. Maybe it’s the age and size of the plants, I’m not an expert. Doesn’t matter, I like it. It might be time to try a Syngonium on a moss pole.
I’ll keep you posted.
